With the acquisition of Twitter, Elon Musk is making it clear that he wants to shake things up on the platform. He announced on his Twitter profile that Twitter will soon be charging verified users on the platform. This “action plan” has created outrage and confusion on the platform as the whole idea behind verification is to verify influencers, celebrities, and brands with notoriety. So the idea of charging core users could push people away from the platform and cause a variety of issues on the platform.
But Musk hasn’t been taking this backlash lightly and has been trying to sell the benefits of his plan for charging users with an array of memes.

It seems that Musk is trying to deflect the pushback with memes but will this have any effect on his final decision? We will have to wait and see.
